IV therapy delivers fluid and selected ingredients directly into a vein. Within the MoveWell Med network, this service is provided through Zip Drip and is only considered after the provider reviews the reason for treatment, medical history, medications, allergies, and potential contraindications.
The formula and monitoring should match a defined need and the provider's scope. IV therapy does not replace routine medical care, a balanced diet, oral hydration when appropriate, or emergency treatment for serious dehydration or illness.
